We first came here a few months ago when one of our cars had an issue with it’s brake line breaking. What initially attracted us were the amazing reviews, but we were especially impressed to learn that they are family-owned. When we brought that car in, they were incredibly transparent with us. They explained that they wouldn’t be able to get a brand-new part anytime soon, but they could overnight a used part rather than having us wait 6–9 months for a new one. They took such great care of our car and made the whole process so easy. Recently, my car started making a questionable noise and eventually became unreliable. We brought it back to them, and they took the time to research the issue as much as possible. They were honest with us and explained that it was going to be an expensive repair. When we came in to pick up my car, they remembered exactly who I was, welcomed me in, and took the time to explain everything in terms I could actually understand. They were so easy to talk to and never once made me feel talked down to. As a younger woman, I’ve unfortunately experienced the opposite at other automotive places, where you can sometimes feel like people assume you don’t know

Short review Yes call them you will be in good hands. Longer review: We recently reached out to Frantz Automotive Center after buying my son his first car a manual and knowing from the pre‑inspection report that it would need a clutch replacement and a new oil pan. We contacted several shops in the Raleigh and Cary area, and while some never responded, Frantz stood out immediately. They turned around a detailed quote quickly and answered every question we had in that first response. No back‑and‑forth, no chasing them down, just clear, straightforward communication. Their timeline worked for us, and when we needed to push the appointment out a bit, they were flexible and easy to work with. When we dropped off the car, they called to confirm whether we wanted to take care of another minor issue they found, and later updated us once everything was completed which was actually earlier than the estimated time they gave us just for the clutch alone. Went for an oil change and all-around inspection and service was phenomenal. Fair price, quick and very friendly customer service. They didn’t try to upsell which I really appreciate and answered all my questions. I will definitely be returning for all future needs!

I had previously given this establishment a 3/5 star review due to their blanket 20% supply charge that they used to tack on to your bill, but it looks like they have since gotten rid of that 20% charge and do a more reasonable supply charge of ~$10 or so. Therefore I have deleted my old review and am giving this place 5 stars because they do great, quality work and I would recommend their service to someone looking for a quality place to get their vehicle fixed.

When we moved to Cary 2 years ago, I did a LOT of research on local car repair shops. Several were rated highly across many websites, but I kept coming back to the glowing reviews about Frantz Automotive Center in particular. So, we started using them for all our repairs, and we have never been disappointed in the 2 years since. Frantz is a unique business where the owner is actively involved in its operations. I have visited multiple times and have always left satisfied. They are trustworthy, perform quality work without pushing unnecessary services, and keep customers well-informed. I have complete confidence in them for my car's needs. Additionally, the waiting room is a great space to relax in, even if you don't have any work scheduled for your vehicle.
